Red Lobster’s Shrimp Scampi is a beloved dish that has earned its place as a favorite on the restaurant’s menu. It delights seafood lovers with its rich, garlicky goodness. This dish, inspired by classic Italian scampi, features succulent shrimp bathed in a buttery garlic sauce with a touch of white wine and broiled to perfection.
It’s a simple yet elegant recipe that captures the essence of coastal dining and can easily be recreated at home for a taste of restaurant-quality seafood in your kitchen. I love to make this copycat recipe for shrimp scampi for the whole family from time to time. It’s a super delicious meal that feeds seafood lovers well.
The star of this dish is, of course, the shrimp. Fresh, large shrimp are ideal, offering a sweet, tender bite that pairs beautifully with the bold flavors of the sauce. The shrimp are sautéed until they turn pink and tender, ensuring they remain juicy and flavorful. The sauce, a luxurious blend of butter, garlic, and white wine, is what makes this dish genuinely irresistible. The garlic is gently cooked in butter to release its aromatic flavors, then combined with white wine and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to add brightness and balance to the richness.
A sprinkle of parsley and a pinch of red pepper flakes add a pop of color and a subtle kick to the dish, enhancing the overall flavor without overpowering the delicate shrimp. The final touch is a dusting of grated Parmesan cheese, which melts into the sauce, adding a savory depth that perfectly complements the garlic and butter.
This versatile dish can be served over a bed of pasta, with crusty bread to soak up the sauce, or alongside a fresh salad for a lighter meal. Red Lobster’s Shrimp Scampi is an authentic seafood classic. It offers a delicious, satisfying experience that impresses you, whether serving it for a special occasion or a casual weeknight dinner.
