Macaroni cheeseburger soup is a hearty and indulgent dish that combines the comforting flavors of a classic cheeseburger with the creamy, satisfying texture of macaroni and cheese. This inventive soup combines the best elements of comfort foods into a single, flavorful bowl, making it a perfect choice for cozy dinners, casual gatherings, or any time you’re craving a filling and delicious meal. I love to make this for a Sunday lunch and celebrate it with my family because they love cheeseburger soup.

The base of macaroni cheeseburger soup starts with a savory combination of ground beef, onions, and garlic, which are sautéed until perfectly browned and aromatic. This mixture creates a robust, meaty foundation that is the heart of the soup.

Next, a rich and creamy cheese sauce is prepared using a blend of cheddar cheese and milk, which adds a velvety texture and a sharp, tangy flavor. The cheese sauce is then combined with the beef mixture, creating a luscious, cheesy base that coats every bite of the soup.

To add texture and substance, elbow macaroni is cooked until tender and then stirred into the soup, absorbing the flavors and contributing to the overall heartiness of the dish. Additional ingredients such as diced tomatoes, pickles, and mustard are often included to capture the essence of a classic cheeseburger, adding a tangy contrast and a touch of freshness.

Macaroni cheeseburger soup is typically garnished with a sprinkle of shredded cheese and fresh chopped parsley, which adds a pop of color and an extra layer of flavor. Served with a side of crusty bread or crackers, this soup is a comforting and satisfying meal that combines the best aspects of two beloved classics. It’s an easy-to-make dish that will become a new favorite, offering a delicious twist on traditional comfort food that’s perfect for any occasion.
