Cheesy beef stuffed potato cakes

Ingredients

2 cups mashed potatoes
½ Pound Ground beef
½ Onion, finely chopped
1 Garlic clove, minced
¼ cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
¼ cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ cup all-purpose flour
1 Egg
½ cup Bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp Olive oil
½ tsp Paprika
½ tsp Italian Herb seasoning
Oil for frying


Instructions

1.In a skillet, heat the olive oil on medium heat.
2.Brown the beef in the skillet along with onion, garlic, paprika, Italian herb seasoning, salt, and pepper. Set it aside to cool at room temperature.
3.Season mashed potatoes with salt and pepper.
4.Place a ball of mashed potato in the palm and press it to flatten. Add the beef mixture to the center.
5.Cover the beef mixture with the mashed potatoes and shape them as a cake.
6.Once the cakes are done baking, dust them with flour, dip in egg, and roll in bread crumbs.
7.Shallow fry the cakes in the oil on medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until golden.
8.Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite dip.
