Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup Butter, cold, cubed
¾ cup Buttermilk
½ cup Blueberries, frozen or fresh
½ cup + 1 tbsp Powdered sugar
1 tbsp Milk
1 tbsp Baking powder
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Vanilla extract
Instructions
1.Preheat the oven to 450°F and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
2.In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and sugar.
3.Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4.Pour in the buttermilk and stir just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
5.Gently fold in the blueberries.
6.Drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, making four equal portions.
7.Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
